Dyaan computes its numbers from public Earth-observation archives. Nothing is generated, modelled or interpolated on our side; the sources below are the sources of truth.

NASA FIRMS — active fire

VIIRS 375 m active fire product (C2, near real-time) from Suomi NPP and NOAA-20, read from the public 24-hour CSV feeds. Courtesy of NASA FIRMS / LANCE. NRT data are provisional and subject to revision.

JRC Global Surface Water v1.4 — water transitions

Pekel, J-F., Cottam, A., Gorelick, N., Belward, A.S. (2016). High-resolution mapping of global surface water and its long-term changes. Nature 540, 418–422. Rasters read by HTTP byte range from the public Global Surface Water archive; 30 m resolution, 1984–2021.

NASA GIBS

Global Imagery Browse Services dated tiles (MODIS Terra corrected reflectance and related layers), used for basemap imagery.

Copernicus Sentinel-2

Contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data. Sentinel-2 layers are on the roadmap for the vegetation and change-detection capabilities.
